Family Reunion Pictures

John, Kary, Beth, Mari, Bob

We just got back from our Family Reunion in Utah. We were gathering for a Lindquist Family Reunion, and also my Nan's 90th birthday. It is always so fun to get everyone together. It is hard to do when we are all grown-up and living far apart. My family lives in Alaska, Utah, Idaho, and Arizona. All of my siblings made it, we were just missing my oldest brothers 4 children -- maybe next time!

So what does my family do when we travel so far to get together?

We SING!

That's right, we spent our time singing together. We set up a little recording studio (thanks John!), and we recorded a bunch of songs. When I get my hands on them, I will find a way to post them.

Even the kids got to sing. They loved it. :-)

 Yea for singing!
John and Kary singing, with Sammi playing the piano. There are a bunch more singing pictures, but I need to gather them from my family.
Sammi found a new friend, Blake. He is a really cute boy. She said she almost cried when she said goodbye to him. :-) Sweet.
When we are not singing, we are talking. From lighthearted to deep doctrine -- we cover it ALL.

The 3 babies. Jordan, Henry, and Michael.
 Playing at Nan's Party
A totally hot picture of Charles. (And Henry is pretty cute, too.)
Nan wanted a Carnival for her birthday party.
She loved her birthday hat, but she had me take it off of her because it was messing up her pretty hair. :-)
My Dad and his brother Kent.
My sister Beppy (Beth) and her baby Michael

 Love it!
It is beautiful up there in Heber.

 Can I take a nap?

 Playing in the water
A grandchildren line-up. Just missing the oldest 4. That would have made an awesome picture!

Love the look on Michael (the baby Sammi is holding).

Sammi and McKinley, the only 2 girls cousins there. There are 4 girls total, and 11 boys.

We always make a traditional stop at Grandma Lindquist's house on J Street in the Avenues of Salt Lake, before we leave Utah. She passed away a few years ago, but we always stop and wave. That house was in the family since the early 1900's. She lived there until her dying day. She would not leave her home. She was in a lot of pain in her later years (she lived to 93). She was not known for being sunshine and roses -- but she had a good heart, and she was always good to me, and particularly, Charles. She often slipped me and Charles money when we needed it most. It was because of her that I love Family History. (That is another story entirely.)  We stop and wave and pay our respects, and send her our gratitude.
The drive home from Utah to Boise -- the most boring drive EVER. We decided to liven it up a bit so we read through the Book of Revelation in the Bible. The trip went by super-fast and was very enlightening. If you have not read through Revelations recently, you should. Start from the beginning and go to the end. It is amazing. Especially with the way things are in the world now. I love the Bible.

It was a great trip. I love my family! I will post more images when I scoop them up from other family members.
